Wah, fortunately it's no longer hot today, this weather is b0rked, I keep telling you. Yesterday we had up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, now it's easily 50 degrees Fahrenheit, it's that extreme. No wonder everyone is walking around with coughs and stuffed noses, this weather is far too strange to get accustomed to. It was hot yesterday in the bedroom even with a fan, so I didn't sleep that well. Hopefully I can catch up tonight :)

Not much to say at the moment, I'm hoping to get some fanfic out this week now that both my bosses are gone and it's reaaaallly quiet here at work. I'm wasting too much time going all over teh internetz and reading up on the most silliest of things. Too bad I don't have any Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro on my computer, otherwise I could try out stuff. When we got all the new computers at work, our system administrator didn't install it on mine because I don't need it (the other techs use it for cropping and fiddling with the satellite pictures, but I don't work with it at all), but it would've been nice if I HAD it. ^__~

I've been going through my old original fiction as of late. Some of it is truly heinous (I can spot the plot holes within five minutes, and I thought I was teh shit back then XD), I'm talking about ten-fifteen years ago, and even though I didn't write Mary Sues, some characters were modeled after what I thought I could be/how I could behave. I used to write about a female duo who solved murder cases in the world of popmusic, along the lines of 'the competition is murder', if you know what I mean. I have 58 parts of it (on small paper, by typewriter) and it's awesome to read it again, because it's silly and stupid and fun at the same time. One of the duo was a bass player, and she was kind of Mary Sue, because in that fictional world of popmusic she was the only one who could do that, she was pretty much smart-ass and pretty. Though she did catch some flak for her brusque behavior, and the other one had more compassion and empathy. The funniest thing is, that the bass guitar player was an American XDDDDDDD. *hides*

In any case, when I do pick up my original fiction again (and that's pretty soon I guess ^^), it's not going to be about them. I abandoned my thriller/murder stories a long time ago in favor of fantasy (dear me, I have also something about a private detective agency, that's more like a soap opera, and I thought I could get away with someone stealing a F-16, which is a fighter plane. Hello research?), and I think I'm going to concentrate on that. I have this idea that I haven't told many people about (besides for [info]clarediva and [info]apollymi) and maybe I'll bug them some more about feedback on it.

And I still want to write that YGO/CSI crossover. I already have a very vague plot about who's going to be the victim and whatnot, but it's on a backburner, first Red Dawn and other WIP's. I've been slacking on them enough as it is.

I want ice cream. Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream. *drooolz*

I'm very willing to help with the original however I can. All your ideas sound so interesting! (And don't worry - I spent a bit of that Torchwood novel dissing Americans. My country and the people who live in it do have a bit of a reputation, yeah?)

Though if you want to see bad murder-mystery, I should dig out one I wrote back in high school. All the good I can say for it is I killed off the guy who was based on one of my ex-boyfriends... and my grandmother likes it. ^^;; Pretty terrible, huh?

Oooh, yum, Ben and Jerry's... YUMMMM... Ice cream is good.

*snuggles* ♥ ♥ ♥

P.S. Every time I see that icon you're using, I start singing "Mr Zebra". ^____^

Heeeey, that's funny, because it's a picture from her Scarlet's Walk era... XD I love Mr. Zebra (even though her Boys for Pele album is the one I'm having the most trouble with), and she didn't play it live when I saw her unfortunately, but it's on the To Venus and Back CD, so all is good. Well. All is well! XD

I dunno. It's just what keeps popping into my head. Which is just as well, because any Tori is good Tori. ^___^

Agreed! I'm hoping to get her latest CD for my upcoming birthday. I'm very curious to listen to it; the artwork reminded me of Strange Little Girls. ^^

XD It's awesome to read through older work, no matter how bad it is. I made these giant plot holes, and pulling out deus ex machinas all over the place. I mean, come on, a F-16 for someone to steal? XDDD I did love my murder-mysteries, though. I had written myself in as (surprisingly) a writer/editor for a very popular music/gossip magazine in that world, and I was engaged in fishy business. Good times. :)

(I wonder what the reputation of us Dutchies is, though I can take a guess. Everyone I encountered always immediately says "FREE POT!")

Ice cream does one good yes... *tempted*

I mentioned to my step-father that I might try saving up to go to the Netherlands, and the first words out of Charlie's mouth were "You're not going to go get high are you". It was funny, because my Mum immediately starting laughing and telling him he had the wrong sister. It was fun.

Hmm... Well, to be fair, the movies make it seem like it's so easy to steal F-16's and the like. I can see how the mistake might be made. The story premise itself sounds REALLY interesting, though!

*tempt tempt* I did ice cream myself yesterday. I get another 400 something hits on ANAD, and I might do it again.

♥!

XDD Unbelievable, really XDDD. Almost everyone I met online started talking about free pot and getting high as soon as I told them I was from the Netherlands. I think we have an image to brush up! Well, you can reassure him that I don't live nowhere CLOSE to pot, but I'd love to welcome you in my house of course (and organise a movie marathon with ice cream and popcorn).

True, and I was 15 at that time, so... overimagination much, I guess? :) I think I'm going to try fantasy for an original work in the first place, and should that falter, I'd go for crime-mystery-murder.

Wow, so many hits! 0__o Amazing, but you deserve it!

♥!!

XD! Hurray, visiting! Now to save up the $1300US for a round-trip ticket. ^_^; After Dragon*Con. D*Con will be my big spending for the next few months. I'm putting aside pretty much my entire next paycheque for shopping and hotel room. After that, though...

Haha! That's about the same age when I was working on my little detective-ish thing.

Kattan and I made a deal: for every 500 hits I get on ANAD, we get to go out for ice cream. I'm at 3139... and 33 reviews. (If I get 40 reviews or over 4750 hits, I'm going to post the story on the biggest Doctor Who/Torchwood archive out there. But right now I'm too nervous to do it.)

I had to pay around the same amount when I made my first trip, a year ago. It was worth it though, because I got to meet great people, and when I return one day, I want to meet other people as well and make a tour of the US because everyone lives in another State ><. XDDD (And I would love to go to a con and cosplay one day)

Isn't it awesome to read through ould works? I was laughing out loud yesterday because I found one about a mafia-type leader who had stuffed diamonds in a teddy bear for his daughter, and no one could find them XDDDD

Awesome, awesome. I can only dream of those numbers... 0__0 Here's up to 4750 hits! *lifts glass of champagne*

This is the only story I've ever had get so many hits so fast. It's amazing! Nothing short of amazing. (Or fantastic. That works too. ^^)

Amusingly, I can fly to Cardiff cheaper than Amsterdam, and it's a smaller airport. Yes! One year, you must come to Dragon*Con! It's fantastic! Three hotels big with three dealer rooms, always something going even at 2 in the morning (that's usually either the Cruxshadows playing or the Klingon drinking room), many men in kilts, some of the nicest guests EVER... It's just a great con. I'm going to have to do a costume try on soon... Will take pictures.

...and hopefully this con I don't take nearly 300 pictures... mostly of the parade.

You deserve it! *chu*

Hm, fly to Cardiff and then with a cheap EasyJet to Amsterdam, would that work for you? It would be a terrible jetlag, I presume, but if one can cut down on the costs like that... oh oh, and I don't know how you think about amusement parks, but I'd love to take you to De Efteling which is Europe's most beautiful amusement park with its own fairytale garden. We'll also visit Amsterdam of course, and we can even make a roadtrip and go shopping in France (3 hours by car away from here). :)

Yay pictures! *goes to look at them all*

XD! I'm getting spoiled off reactions to this story. Almost don't want to write the sequel in case it doesn't get the same reaction.

Round-trip to Cardiff is $913 with tax, per person. Round-trip to London is $1101, per person, at least for flying into Heathrow. I didn't even think to check Charles de Gaulle in France, though. I'll take a look at it sometime. I tell Kattan I'm going though, and we might have to beat her away with a stick; she's never left the U.S. before.

I don't think there's any pictures of me till around page 12 or so. I usually don't get pictures taken of me, but people liked my Lolita dress so much that they took pictures and sent them to me. Which reminds me... *uploads the last 3*

*nodnod* Yes, that's a tough decision to make, though I would encourage to write the sequel, if you have the inspiration. I'm stubborn that way; I would do it. XD

Hmm... I do know that there are very cheap EasyJet flights between London/Amsterdam, almost as low as $50. If that would save up greatly, that could be an alternative. Charles de Gaulle is Paris, that is 5 hours away by car, or 4 by train (Thalys). For shopping sensations I go to Lille, which is at 3 hours roughly, the way I drive. XD

I'm so bored at work and I have just half an hour before I can finally leave here, so I'm going to look at all the pictures. Besides, I have one of the pictures you send me clipped to my refrigerator :)

Aw darling, I wrote that fifteen years ago and even though I still have it, it's all in Dutch. Maybe I'll translate it into English and re-write it just for shits and giggles, posting it here and at fictionpress or something. :)

*shakes fist too* Yeah, they said I didn't use it anyway (which was true, I only need to crop or resize a picture once in a blue moon), but it certainly would've been nice if I had graphics, because I'm rather bored during the day T__T

Ice cream, yeah. I'm addicted T___T. Lovely icon, btw! ^__^
